Classic beaded earrings
Beaded earrings are a hot trend that’s now been with us for the last few years, and show no sign of declining. Trend forecasting services seem to agree that there is no let-up on the Bohemian look, in fact it’s just heating up. People are looking for a comfort zone. Cold and sterile just don’t play up very well to comfort. “Tradition” and “History” are big buzz words; people want to reconnect to history whether it’s their own or someone else’s.
Beaded earrings are an accessory to a more historic sense of dressing. They are reminiscent of a time when ornament was the rule not the exception. There is a sense of theatre in dressing today that is becoming more pronounced. Beaded jewelry, long chandelier earrings, dripping bracelets give a softened edge to the wearer and veil them in an aura of history. More to the point-it’s more fun too and it allows the wearer to break the formally rigid rules on dressing.
Trend setters like Madonna and Britney Spears may not embrace these trends as quickly, theirs is a more graphic slick image, but the effect on popular culture is without a doubt large. More classic stars without the pop star edge-Nicole Kidman comes to mind seem to embrace this softer more classic look…beaded earrings and all.
